Xanthan gum is a kind of hydrophilic biological polysaccaride which is made from corn starch after processses of fermentation with xanthomonas campestais, extraction, drying and grinding. Benefited by its superior thickening and stabilizing effect,shear resistance and unnique preusdo-plasticity reheological property, xanthan gum is widely used in food, oil drilling, fine chemical, pharmaceutical and other fields.

Product Features

Xanthan Gum is a premium quality biopolymer powder designed to provide maximum solids suspension and hole cleaning in vertical and highly deviated wells as well as horizontal directional drilling applications. Xanthan Gum is a distinctive product and able to produce a thixotropic shear thinning fluid. XCD also acts as a very effective mud filtrate viscosifier. Xanthan Gum is a high quality product which meets the API 13A Section 19 Specification.

APPLICATION:
Acting as an thickener and stabilizer, Industrial Grade Xanthan Gum can be applied to many industrial fields, such as oil drilling, pesticide, pottery & porcelain, printing & dyeing, paint, paper-making, mine-extraction, and so on. It is specially produced as mud additive for oil drilling. Being an environment friendly and high efficiency mud additive, it has an excellent tolerance to a wide range of temperature, PH and salinity. It can extremely increase the mud penetrative rate and suspension ability to the drilling-cuttings. Meanwhile, it can also reduce the pressure loss during drilling, stabilize the well-bore, prevent the damage to oil formation, and improve the efficiency of drilling, work-over and completion.

Storage & Handing

Precautions: Keep away from heat. Keep away from sources of ignition.
Empty containers pose a fire risk, evaporate the residue under a fume hood.
